The final rendering was not a requirement for this project, but I wanted to see it through.
Production Concept: Situates the play in the future, highlighting the unending cycle of hunger and poverty, and the reality that it can happen to anyone at any time. The Man and Woman would be “working poor”, having some luxuries despite their financial situation. The room is a “futuristic” compartment dining space, clean, almost bare, with surfaces like those of sci-fi space ships. A hint of future technology, such as a flickering digital display, would help signify a technologically advanced future that suffers with the same socio-economic problems. A cold blue “moon” light would set the time and atmosphere of the story.
